You are in for a very special treat here, an Daccordi LA84 Pursuit Pista/Track bike. Produced in very limited number between 1984 and 1985 this is the most finely preserved bike I’ve ever had. This bike is a time capsule really, with not even a scratch on frame or parts. If I didn’t know it was used, I could declare it as to be a NOS bike, but I’m sure it was ridden on velodromes for about one year. Bike was found as is in an old bike shop and was on display under a glass. Frame is built with classic Columbus SL tubing and has many panto. Bike is equipped with a Campagnolo Super Record track groupset and with a beautiful set of Mavic Comete disc wheels. Also it has a dedicated stem and bullhorn made by 3TTT for Daccordi in super rare Black Finish and with panto Daccordi with a font used only for this model. Bullhorn is the most famous 3TTT 51.151 but in black finish! Bike is state of the art and has low mileage on, having being been used on track only. The frame has some small chipped paint spots due to use and age, but is otherwise still in very good used condition! Stelio Belletti has been a pioneer of TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding in Italian bicycle frame building (he learnt it from his father Antenore, a planes fuselages welder). Stelio is without a doubt one of the most creative and skilled frame builders of all time. This Stelbel Dynamic Crono dates back to 1984 and is made of Columbus tubes, specifically designed and made for Stelio Belletti. The lugless frame is a true craftsmanship masterpiece, as well as the unique fork with the iconic Stelbel crown. Belletti is said to have needed two days alone to weld one of his famous forks. This bike is part of his 4th generation building styles, totally lug-less fork and frame, aerodynamic fin behind the head tube and bottom bracket, acting as cable routing and lower bridge as well. The seat stays are aero shaped, and the seat post diameter is an unusual Stelbel 22mm size. This frame is extremely light considering materials and size, once again confirming the visionary genius and skills of Stelio Belletti. Stelio Belletti welded roughly 1000 frames. Therefore each Stelbel bicycle is an art piece that may enrich any vintage cycling collection! Using english names to identify certain models produced, grammatical mistakes have been made… The best known belong to the Dynamic Line. There are models with “Dynamic” and “Dynamics” or even “Dynamics” decals. On this particular frame there is the “Dynamics” version decals. ID frame: 84318 (registered on the Registro Storico Stelbel). At the end of 1984 has been introduced the fork crown with convex faces obtained by molding of steel sheet. The iconic “S” is the same as the previous generation. The most obvious way to recognize an original Stelbel frame is the iconic panto head tube with typical font Stelbel arranged vertically. A vertical type model, model SunTour SDB-EF120 often used for Dynamic models, Cronotime and Cronosquadra from 1983-84. This frame is characterized by a unique seat clamp with only two microscopic allen bolts directly inserted in the seat tube. Double diameter seat tube. To manitain the maximum rigidity near the bottom bracket and to have at the same time the maximum lightweight of the frame, Stelio Belletti studied this beautiful double diameter seat tube.
