I BOUGHT THIS BIKE USED LONG AGO (20 YEARS AGO PERHAPS) AND WAS TOLD AT THAT TIME IT WAS A TREK 970. I DIDNT HAVE ANY REASON TO DOUBT THAT, IT HAS THE CAMPY SUPER RECORD COMPONENTS AND IT HAS THE COLUMBUS TUBING DECALS. LOOKING UP THE SERIAL NUMBER RECENTLY ON VINTAGE-TREK COM THE SERIAL NUMBER SHOWS ITS A TREK 560. SO ASSUMING THAT IS CORRECT IT WOULD BE ISHIWATA TUBING NOT COLUMBUS TUBING. THE CAMPAGNOLO COMPONENTS SPEC OUT THE SAME AS WHAT WOULD HAVE COME ON A TREK 970 SO ITS STILL A GREAT BIKE, JUST NOT THE FLAGSHIP MODEL. The condition is excellent. I have photographed the few paint chips around the right shifter, otherwise the imperfections are few and far between. There are not dents, dings or mechanical issues on this bike, it is a smooth riding, sharp looking bike.
