Campagnolo Super Record Crank Arms, 172.5mm These are “true” Super Record cranks, not the Nuovo Record design that lasted from the late’60’s to the early’80’s. The differences were no fluting on the arms (a matter of style more than function) and more importantly, a reinforced union between the arm and the “spider” (see the last picture) eliminating a common failure point. The 11 in the square is a date code of 1985 (according to info on Velobase) and these have an engraved Campagnolo shield. Only the earliest of this design had this, since they soon switched to the laser etched shield, like you would see on the C-Record parts that replaced it. I think these engraved ones are a little more rare, and engraving doesn’t rub off. These have been used and you can see some wear from rubbing against toe straps and the front derailleur, as well as the other typical nicks from use. I have chainrings for sale, please see my other auctions. The item “Campagnolo Super Record Crank Arms Non Fluted, Engraved, 172.5mm, 1985″ is in sale since Tuesday, October 04, 2016.
