Not many of you might know this very rare De Rosa Primato San Cristobal Moser branded celebrative model. Francesco Moser started winning big competitions at San Cristobal and other famous races. It was then that Moser itself went to visit Ugo De Rosa to order a series of frames for himself, which were also released in the market in very limited number. Here we have one of these very very rare models in 100% original condition. One of the first models being this a 1976 one. Equipped with the most beautiful groupset of that era, the Campagnolo Super Record 1st generation. Wheels are Mavic Record du Monde de l’Heure gold rims on Campagnolo Record High flange hubs! This set was the original one, almost remained unused as first owner preferred a Clincher type wheelset which was not included in the sale when I got the bike from second owner. The bike is 100% original down the very last screw. It has been used and kept very meticulously by the first owner who actually rode the bike. Second owner, from whom I got the bike, was a collector and used it very rarely on some vintage meeting such as l’ Eroica, otherwise kept it at home safe and sound. Frame is built with Columbus SL. Tubing, with rhomboidal chain stays, panto De Rosa lugs and bottom bracket shell and Campagnolo Super Record drop outs. Finished in rare pearled white (while standard colour was light blue metallic). Frame has a classic quadro geometry with basically 95% intact paint which has some sign and scratch for obvious reason, being paint the original one from 1976. Chrome is in very very good condition too. Frame structure is 100% perfect with no bumps or problem of any kind. On bike specs and parts. 56,5cm Seat tube C-C. 56,5cm Top tube C-C. Selle Royal Contour CX Moser Saddle. Bike has been used for racing ONLY and has seen no intensive use as reflected by the beautiful condition you can see in pictures.
