The area fortunately is only small but I will revise the listing shortly to show it. Here for sale is my extremely rare original condition 1982 Battaglin Campagnolo model 12 speed road bike. This was the top of the tree model in the first year that Giovanni Battaglin started bicycle manufacturing after his retirement from professional cycling. The Campagnolo model like its name was kitted out with a full compliment of Campagnolo Super Record. This rare survivor has retained all of its original kit with maybe the exception of the stem? Im saying maybe as the 1982 Battaglin catalogue has this model with a pantographed stem whereas this has a plain Cinelli stem. Other than this and the saddle its all original as far as Im aware. Photo 12 is a screenshot of the original 1982 catalogue, as you can see this example is pretty much just the same as featured. Frame/forks: 57cm 1982 Battaglin Campagnolo made with Columbus Tretubi steel. Chainset: Campagnolo Super Record 52 42 rings & 170 arms. Pedals: Campagnolo Record with Alfredo Binda straps & Christophe special chips. Bottom bracket: Campagnolo Record. Front & rear mechs: Campagnolo Super Record rear Nouvo Record front. Gear levers: Top mounted Campagnolo Super Record. Seatpost: Campagnolo Super Record 27.2 fluted. Brakes: Campagnolo Super Record drilled levers with NOS Campagnolo Gum Hoods and Super Record calipers with unworn original Campagnolo blocks x 4. Wheels: Campagnolo Record small flange hubs with Campagnolo skewers laced with SS spokes into Mavic GP4 tubular rims shod with new Vittoria 23mm tub tyres. Headrace: Campagnolo Super Record allloy. Stem & bars: Cinelli 100mm reach stem & Cinelli Campione Del mondo bars with recent tape. Saddle: original Selle Italia Bernard Hinault Leather Turbo. Ive recently replaced all the inner and outer cables and also Ive replaced the inner ptfe sleeves that run inside of the down tube for the internal gear cables. The bottom bracket has been serviced, a set of NOS Campagnolo Gum Hoods and a new set of Vittoria 23mm tubular tyres. Both wheels spin true & smooth. The bike rides spot on and youll be very hard pushed to see another! The paint and chrome with being original has a few scuffs n chips etc but theres no dents or damage. Please study the photos as they make up the majority of my description. Im limited to 12 photos so obviously cant show every detail about the bike. The bike has scratches, rust spots and general wear n tear for a bike of this age. Its not new so please dont expect new. My opinion may differ from yours in regards to condition but I have described this item to the best of my ability. Please note: the bike will need to be partially dismantled for all courier services. My courier prices include. 1: The cost of the service as charged by the courier. 3: Cost of packing materials ie; bubble wrap, shrink wrap, tape etc etc. The item “Vintage 1982 Battaglin Campagnolo Model 57cm Road Bicycle Columbus Super Record” is in sale since Saturday, December 19, 2020.
