This very early Cïocc is a perfect addition to any collection of vintage bikes, an ideal Eroica contender or just a nice bike to ride on and to decorate your wall when not in use. Make no mistake – this bike comes with rare 1. Generation groupset with Titanium Pedal spindles, the early rear derailleur, no lip front derailleur note the special mounting without clamp! , non-cupped quick release levers of the brakes, two bolt seatpost (27.2mm) and the old type flat skewers. This is a very light vintage bike and features a modern geometry with a relatively short wheelbase. Long Campy drop-outs though. The frame features Cïocc pantographed lower front lug, rear seat stays and a cut-out under the BB shell. Also worth mentioning are the very early ” pre-San Christobal” Cïocc decals, also indication a built date prior 1977. This could be one of the oldest Cïocc still around and there are no pictures on the internet showing anything similar. 56cm for the top tube and 55cm c-c for the seat tube. Please note the perfect condition of the components and the extremely rare black anodized parts and the brake calipers with the “TITANIO” engraving. Near unmarked and period correct crank arms. Black anodized Campagnolo chain rings in perfect condition. Early no-lip front derailleur changed to a screw-on type for added lightness. The black early-type shifters are milled for lightness and so are the brake levers with Cïocc panto. Fresh rubber hoods with correct World-logo were recently added. Super Record pedals with vintageChristophe toe clips and original straps, Campy screws and rare Titanium axles. All original shifter and brake cables. The bike is equipped with 28 hole NISI tubular tires with lead soldered rear spokes and rare colored NISI metal badges instead of the decals and a Maillard freewheel Campagnolo SR low flange hubs with flat type skewres. NOS Selle Italia Superprofessional saddle and new cotton bar tape, old 3tt end plugs were retained. Cinelli 1a stem with engraved Cïocc logo, centimeter scale and the name of the owner. Same Cïocc signature scale can be found on the 2-bolt Super Record seatpost. Campagnolo Super Record headset in very good condition, Swiss NADAX bottom bracket. The bike was completely dismantled and meticulously cleaned. No touch up to paint scratches (many) to maintain the nice patinated look. The NOS suede saddle and the new authentic cotton bar tape still blend in nicely. There are a few important points still to mention; the fork was replaced at some point and the front and rear brake bolts were subsequently sawn off to allow Allen Key mounting. In the sale is included a correct pantographed Cïocc fork of the right length to complete the refurbishment – but this fork needs re-chroming prior mounting. Furthermore the frame really shows sign of being handmade – the braze-on’s for the brake cable on the top tube (also rare for a bike of that vintage) do not at all line up. Even the top tube itself shows marks underneath the paint from being clamped in place during production – this was a real handmade frame meant for racing and not for show. Hence no chrome except the fork. This bike as plenty of flair. The item “RARE VINTAGE 1975 CIOCC FULLY PANTOGRAPHED CAMPAGNOLO SUPER RECORD 1. GEN” is in sale since Monday, October 17, 2016.
