It was made in Sante Pogliaghi’s workshop in Milan Italy when he was arguably at the peak of his powers, unlike later models that were made elsewhere by shops that licensed his name after he closed up shop. 56cm center-to-center seat tube and top tube. 32 1/4 standover height from floor to top of top tube. Condition: Original paint, chrome and decals all in excellent, used condition. Some small touch ups. Brooks Professional small rivet saddle. Campagnolo Super Record headset, derailleurs, shift levers and brake levers. Campagnolo Record brake calipers, crank, bottom bracket, cable guides and seatpost. Cambio Rino green-anodized 52/42 alloy chainrings. Suntour Winner 6 speed ultra freewheel 13-26t. Alfredo Binda Super laminated toe straps. Cinelli 120mm 1A stem and 40cm ctc Giro d’Italia bars. Wheels: Maillard hubs laced to Mavic Module E rims. Tires: Grand Bois Cerf 26mm. Cobra chromed steel bottle cage. The frame and fork originally came from the Brugelmann Radsport bike shop in Frankfurt, which supplied the German national cycling teams in the 1960s & 70s. Brugelmann was the largest European road cycling retailer for probably six decades and sponsored teams which competed internationally in World Champion and Classic events. They had links with Cinelli, Raleigh, Colnago and other major builders. Cinelli created a lightweight version of their SC in the early’70s which they named the Speciale Leggerissimo.
