Description : MASI Prestige #FV 57 8110 from 1981 size 55×55 c-c. This is an original Masi made in Milan / Italy by Alberto Masi. It shows plenty of very nice pantographs on the frame, fork and especilly on the Campagnolo parts. Fully equipped with pantographed Campagnolo Super Record parts and with some additional fancy colors, for which Masi was notorious for. The’Prestige’ follows the staight design of Albert Masi. Introduced in 1975 as a modernized version of the Gran Criterium. With a more modern and clean design featuring micro-fusion investment cast lugs. Masi is a Milan/Italy based workshop, founded in 1946. Faliero Masi, and now his son Alberto, are the men behind the Masi brand. Until the mid-1960s Dicimo Merlo has been Faliero’s frame builder, but Masi would finish the brazed frames. Later, many contractors supplied their services, but the design and quality control remained under the strict oversight of the Masi men. Masis workshop is located inside the Vigorelli velodrome in Milan, yet another icon of cycling. Condition : Fully refurbished, conservative restoration, original paint. No dents, no cracks or bends. In some places the paint is blown, but it shows that underneath it is entirely chrome and no sign of rust, like a beautiful woman it’s beautiful to show the signs of aging.
