For sale here is this beautiful piece of Italian Vintage cycling, a race roadbike ready for Eroica. This particular frameset is a Ciocc, an Luxury Italian brand which made some very desirable bikes in that era, very similar to the likes of (Colnago, De Rosa, Masi, Somec, Sancineto, Losa, , Pinarello, Cinelli, Eddy Merckx and Bianchi). This model was called San Cristobal. The frame set is made out of Columbus steel, this one is made from Columbus SL (SuperLeggeri) which was their top of the rage tubeset at the time (apart for the really exotic KL and Record). Columbus tubing is the go to brand with bikes like these, there were other brands like Oria (ML25, GG 0.0), Reynolds (531, 531c, 531p, 753) and Dedacciai but Columbus stands out a bit from these with iconic tubsets such as (MS, Gilco, Max, Air and SLX). The frameset / complete bike is in very good condition, only a few places where there is a scratch or some cable rub, no rust, dents or cracks on this one. Whats also worth mentioning is the groupset, which is ofcourse Campagnolo only, as is expected on a bike like this. All the components are from the Super Record groupset. The cockpit consists of a Cinelli stem and handlebars, however this can be changed for a longer or shorter. The bike is ready to ride, as it stands and works perfectly, so this is a no investment build, just grab it and go. The wheelset consists of Mavic GP4 Tubular rims with Campagnolo nuovo tipo hubset. If desired i can change that to a Super Record set or appy brand new Vittoria tubulars to the existing set. The bike is in good general condition, however it is no MINT or NOS, signs of use on most of the expected areas and a little but of surface rust on the chrome.
