The CAMPAGNOLO SUPER RECORD Cassette is constructed from a highly functional combination of titanium, nickel plated steel, and aluminum. The upper six cogs are divided on to two separate internal aluminum frames that increases rigidity by 180% over previous designs. Stiffer cogs translate directly to faster, snappier shifts. The nickel-chrome coating on the lower 6 cogs drastically reduces friction, helping to extend cassette life, and making for a quieter running drivetrain. A new tooth profile has been designed to place less stress on the chain; allowing for more contact through the full range of rotation. Refined machining from top to bottom guides the chain through up-shifts and makes down shifting under load a breeze. Cassette cogs 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 19, 21, 23, 26, 29. 5 steel, 6 titanium.
